HRV Installation
A heat recovery ventilator uses the heated or cooled air already inside a home to pre-heat or pre-cool fresh air drawn from outside. For example, in winter an HRV moves a current of heated air from indoors past a current of cold fresh air from outside. The fresh air warms up and enters the house already heated so your heating system won't have to work so hard. The process simply reverses in the summer. You'll recover 80% of the energy you would have otherwise lost if you just opened the doors and windows.
